Movie Review... Matrix Trilogy, a 3-fer

The Matrix, on its own, is a revolutionary idea. The movie is a hot property among the computer crowd. I really liked it. Casting - A+. Story - A+. Continuity - A+. "The Matrix" is a compelling fiction akin to "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon". Fairy tales with (populist) fun roots.

The other two Matrix movies, Matrix Reloaded and Matrix Revolutions, however, were just box office milkers. The ingenuity had been unleashed in the first film, and the last two fell short when considered independent of number one. "The Matrix" is an 8.5. "Reloaded" and "Revolutions" aren't special.

REVIEWER #2: Again, although agreeing with my counterpart is a rare occasion, we really seemed to click during our week at Nasa as far a movies go. The Matrix is cool, the camera angles are neat, the computers are zippy and the phone call to break you out of the matrix is wacko. But after you see all three of them, you have to wonder why the sentinels couldn;t just dial the same number and figure out what was going on. And how many times can a guy get killed and brought back to life anyway? The first one was great, the second one was terrible and the third one just couldn't make up for the second one.
I give the matrix a 7.5.
