Movie Review: Wanted

Review: Wanted

The first scene in this movie shows a bullet curving around a corner to kill an assassin and then an assassin killing the curved bullet guy from 6 miles away. It caught my attention and kept it throughout the movie.
Wanted is a story about a secret society of assassins called the 'Fraternity'. You never know you are a part of the 'Fraternity' until you are needed. That makes for an interesting plot as a young 'going nowhere' accountant finds himself being kidnapped into the 'Fraternity' by Angelina Jolie.
With Morgan Freeman running the show, he shows the young recruit a message from a loom that sends binary messages to the Fraternity on future targets. After lots of deception, great car chases and some twists and turns, I thought this movie was a solid 8.25.

If I were kidnapped into a secret society, I would resist a little bit. I'd want Angelina Jolie to work on my emotions and prove this was a good deal. She'd have to convince me without a doubt. I'd want her to be persistent, because I won't voluntarily join anything bad. Gotta make me believe.

By next year, they'll have a gun that will shoot bullets 12 miles, and the slugs will do a loop-de-loop.

Reminiscent of my seat gripping experience in "Lara Croft", I'll definitely go see this one.

When I produce a movie, I'm gonna name the characters like they did the curved bullet guy. I'm thinkin' of using these names:

The haystack hiding guy
The fast car driver man
That Rosen with eight name variations guy
That prison cell guy on the top bunk
The guy who got the good lookin' girl

I want to be a nowhere accountant and get kidnapped, too.

Feve, you dodo! You're already a mildly milk toast accountant with a magazine to publish. Quit having those fantasies. You're too old. Anyhow, I could kidnap you with my little finger.
