Movie Review... Fireproof

You can't just judge a movie without crawling into part of it and letting it slap you around.  I just sat there and took a beating watching this film.  Fireproof was made by a team of film makers who knew what they were doing, and this was not their first production.

Incredibly, all the actors (except two professionals) in Fireproof are members of Sherwood Baptist Church in Athens, Georgia.  Center stage is "the book of 40 days", and it has power over struggling relationships.  This book's genesis is intriguing, and I would recommend the 40 day concept to every couple as a discussion topic.  I wish I'd heard about this concept in 1965.  Good job, Sherwood Baptist Church, but don't expect any respect from Hollywood.  You have enormous respect from me.  This story is a marriage saver and a relationship repair kit.

Here's another informative review:

I was a divorce attorney for 6 years and saw hundreds of marriages come to an end--but usually for the same few reasons. This book could put divorce attorneys out of business.

A small time commitment over 40 days breathed now life back into our marriage.

If you are a selfish and whiny nag of a spouse who constantly berates your mate and expects him or her to be perfect in every way, this book will open your eyes. (I read the book: 40 Love Dares).
