Review: Horton Hears a Who

Ah yes, the classic Dr. Suess movie. Weird, full of odd rhymes and, of course, narrated occasionally by someone.

Horton the elephant catches a 'spec' of dust one day and hears something coming from it. Turns out, there is a whole city living on that spec, but Horton can't prove it to anyone.

After he establishes a way to communicate with 'The Who's from Whoville' Horton tries to get the spec to a safe haven as not to be bothered by 'jungle activity'.

Carol Burnet, the Kangaroo and leader of the jungle (Is there not a lion here?) , is skeptical of all the animals that think Horton is a better person than she for taking care of the Who's.

It all ends up just fine though, as I'm sure you predicted.

So, how do you rate a movie about an Elephant that finds a spec of dust with a major city on it? I don't have a clue. The theatre was packed, and there was a song about your 'booty' that kept the crowd laughing for a while.

It made the kids happy, and I got to spend time with them.

Horton hears a 6.5

This reviewer is great. Not too much info...not too little. I like the little poetic descriptions. Like a G rated zinger. Give me a G ztring zing any day. Keep 'em coming.
