Review: The Gold of Cape Girardeau

This is a unique novel intertwining Civil War history in Missouri and the pre-war flamboyance of riverboat life. If you've had enough of Civil War stories that took place at Gettysburg and Appomattox, check out the story of Cape Girardeau's wartime role. U. S. Grant was there for a while. Samuel Clemens was in and out. The fastest steamboat on the Mississippi was featured. Entertainment. Accurate history. What about the gold? I liked it.
