Greatest Movies of the Decade...#6 Crazy Heart

I hate hopelessness The current decade hates hopelessness, and it's a good feeling when hope gets vindicated in a film that oozes with "down and out" pathos. Every kid who has a fantasy seizure about Guitar Hero or Hanna Montana needs to go see Crazy Heart. This reminds me of the 18 year old musician wannabe who found his way because his courageous parents could see clearly. Bad Blake's parents didn't have that guiding influence, and Crazy Heart is the story of an eleventh hour dose of parentage.

Now, grab that teenager by the arm and drag him/her to the theater, or get Netflix on the case.
