Batman takes 3rd!

PINEWOOD DERBY 2008

Well, as you all know, last year, Jered took 3rd place (within his pack of 30 cars) and went on to Rockford, IL for the semi finals. We lost there taking 5th in our division. BUT were, gonna have another chance this year with our highly modified, super aerodynamic, suped up, double overhead pinecone batmobile. (Actually we borrowed the car from Batman). The batmobile took 3rd of 29 cars (there was a tie for 2nd) so we are in the hunt again.

We raced a solid 2.8 second average for 4 races. The winning car raced a 2.775. So off we will go again to Rockford to pursue our first national championship.

We learned a lot from last year. Sanded wheels, removing burrs from axles, highly polished pins and paint that is slippery are only a few of the improvements over last year. Although we ran 2.825 last year.

Anyway, Jered is excited and that's all that really matters ain't it?
