After a round of mini golf with the kids on Sunday (actually two because you cannot beat the "Play our other course for an additional dollar" special they run) and was thinking about becoming a hero.
Can we all be heroes at something? Here's why I ask. Hear me out.
During a golf game, a really bad golfer (say a guy that shoots about 110 on a good day), or hits an average of about 8 shots a hole continually goes in the trees, loses clubs, loses balls and is just an all around bad golfer.
BUT !! somehow, on a lonely par three hole over the pond he lands the ball within inches of the cup, almost netting him a hole in one. Wow. That same round, he chips on the 15th hole from about 38 yards (Out of bounds of course) and gets within a foot. Wow.
What does this mean? Does this guy actually have the skills to be a great golfer, a hero golfer? Can he hone his skills enough to play in the PGA and win? On top of that, why do all of his other shots suck? Is it his inconsistency, his disability to maintain correct form and posture, that days weather or just plain CHANCE?
There is only one way to find out.
Ask a Hero.

It's chance. You're still a hero for other reasons. Scarpacci
