Some people seek to use the family treasure for the good of their own families, and they believe no humans should encounter obstacles in their inoffensive pursuits. They respect competiton and investment in the future. These are CONSERVATIVES.
There are others who also seek to use the family treasure for the good of their own family, but they covet the power to control other people's lives and treasures. These are LIBERALS.
To me, coveting the power to control other people's lives and treasures is the offspring of HUBRIS and a brother to ELITISM.
Some people use family values to hide their avarice and greed. They believe that the poor deserve what they get for being born to a lower social and financial class. They respect those that cut taxes in spite of deficits and socio-economic concerns and worship the Almighty (dollar). They believe that wealth and prosperity are the entitlement of divine favoritism.
There are others that understand that they are fortunate not to have been born to a lower class. They know taxes and charity benefit the less fortunate. They believe that a culture is defined by how it cares for it's poor and sick. They find grace in the giving.
To me, labels make it easier to divide people. Arguing over these labels keeps people from addressing the betterment of others. The power to control people's lives lies in the ability to make things better for all. The sharing of wealth and prosperity by the powerful is the simplest way to allow all humans the ability to overcome obstacles.
