Affleck took a true story and dolled it up for Hollywood, adding excitement by making every cliffhanger end two seconds away from disaster. Pulled 'er through, though, and showed how heroes have to be satisfied with their own applause sometimes. Argo is just a documentary of real happenings in our history. If this were just a work of fiction, it'd just be a bland short story rejected by film studios. Credit the Affleck/Lib love affair. Not an award winner.
