Stage Play Review... Plain and Fancy

If you've wondered how plain, resolute, kind, or human the Amish people are, go see this nice, compelling stage play.  We went at Natalie's suggestion, and it was thoroughly entertaining.  If you've wondered how plain religious people would interract with modern folks from New York, this play is for you.

The cast is excellent, and Amish Acres' Round Barn Theatre is a cozy place to be entertained.  We added a "thrasher's meal" and spent an hour and a half packin' it away before the play started.  We paid $63 per couple, and that was with a 2 for 1 show ticket.  The whole experience was overpriced, but the show was very good.

If there's a lesson, it's that all God's children are amazingly similar, and priorities for people from different walks of life line up nicely if you look carefully.  The story is fragrantly perfumed with "character" and "hope".

Would we go again to another play?  Yes, but we'd eat at home.  Not like a thrasher.
