Movie Review... Casino Royale, M's point of view

Why review a movie from the point of view of one of the characters?  Well, the head of MI6 code named "M" is an intuitive genius when it comes to international intelligence and covert action.  This skill is apparent in the behavior of Judi Dench, who portrays M.  Here's her style of introduction:  I'm M.  I have a considerable responsibility to the Empire.  PM, Queen, and all.  I don't stay because of failure.  I, and all those in my capacity before have retained station by meeting our mandates.  We've been entrusted.  by E. Slater

I've sent a boy?  I'm afraid I've sent a boy to shoulder crisis in a sizeable chunk of the Empire.  I give him double O status and... Oh, Christ, how I miss the cold war.

"You've got a bloody cheek.  We wanted to question him, not kill him.  Hardly the big picture.  I knew it was too early to promote you."  "I don't know if I can trust you... and Bond... don't ever break into my house again".

I think now that I've sent a rough edged killer.  But, with a world of intelligence services and direct communications, I won't deny him all the help I can offer.  It's Miami airport... the prototype.

"Quite the body count you're stacking up".  "I wish you could stay emotionally detached.  But, that's not your problem, is it"?  Oh, I hope this poker thing is the right decision.  I'll send a Treasury agent with a slightly prickly demeanor.  Vesper.

Yes, I think she can keep him in line.

Oh, my.  Push the red button!  Push it!

One hundred twenty million.  I wonder what he's doing now.  Loving her, no doubt.  Sailing.  Foolishness.  Oh, my goodness... we'll have to scotch this resignation business.  Now, the money doesn't seem to be in the account.  Why?  Why don't we know what's going on?  How can we run MI6 without any bloody information?

Sometimes we're so focused on our enemies, we forget our friends.  Then, you've learned your lesson... if your need more time... the trail's gone cold.  Oh, James, we may never know.

Well, I'll have to admit, James, you've made this one roller coaster ride.

When I dispatched Bond to intercede in this affair, I knew I was dealing with a bit of a rogue in black tie.  He went up against an organization that lives through intrigue, and not publicity.  Keeping track of things proved to be a poison of sorts... knowing what to believe and what to ignore.  But, in the end, supporting our 007 and believing in his skill paid off.  Now, I'll go off to another dangerous escapade, and my trust will be in him.

Casino Royale seems to me to be the "believable" episode.  9.5 .

Looks like Craig will get hired to do the sequel.

When I worked for MI6, I got double O status twice. Once for each round trip to infinity. I used those curving bullets.

Great picture. Inspired post. Can you do one from Le'Chifre's point of view?

Well, I have ot give my fellow reviewer a bit of credit. After fake reviewing 'Wanted' trying to whoo me back into his court, he comes up with a pretty inventive idea here.
I like the idea of a "Point of View" review. We have coined the new term PVR (Point of View Review).
Nice Elpirt.

What gives you the right to do a review while pretending to be someone WHO APPEARS IN THE MOVIE? Don't you have a duty to let them post this kind of stuff themselves.
