Entertainment Review... Super Bowl "The Boss" sing-along

This is one of those embarrassing situations where Scarpacci is reviewing a performance by a slug singer that he never has given a hoot about.

Springsteen seemed to have trouble finding the right note.  His 12 minute routine reminded me of a new trombone player always searching for a note, always two beats behind.  Who were those other 9 guys in black suits?  The East Bay band of contestants in a Johnny Cash lookalike contest?

But, maybe that's the lure of The Boss's music...off key, late, unknown words, big smile, "Look at me, I'm the Boss!"  Maybe people love The Boss so they can pretend to be cool.  If I pretend to be cool, I must apologize.

Bruce, if you can't do it yourself, try to cover up by making it a sing-along.  You'll get the million bucks anyhow.

Is that a tune he's carrying? Why couldn't he pronounce the lyrics? Oh, he's always been like that.

When Al Gore invented the six string, this Springsteen was still eating Pablum. It seems he ate some during the first half. Two inventive guys teaming up to save us music lovers. Smells like another Nobel prize.

That song...was it ak-ak or flack-flack? Was it about losing his memory pills down a sewer grate in an outdoor bazaar? I just couldn't keep the words straight.

The Boss... the boss, the boss, the boss. This slummer couldn't manage anything. I'll bet he has peeps just to pack his suitcase.

I've seen hotter jargon. It was on the cold cut buffet table in Nome. This jargon needs to eat an Atomic Fireball.
