Picture this.
You work for a company that has been selected (by employee submission) to be one of the top companies to work for in America.
The benefits rule, you work close to home and the 10% 1-1 match on 401K will make anyone rich just by joining the program.
Is this system flawed? I say it may be. What if the people you work for or with don't acknowledge hard work, extra hours and other vital information. What if you think you are being overlooked or under appreciated? What if your boss and his/her boss are old school and make it hard to prove yourself. What if undisclosed rules at the company prevent moving up.
These are all scenarios that, if working for another company that did not have all the perks, one would leave and seek employment elsewhere.
Are employees staying at companies that provide top notch benefits and other perks even thought they are unhappy and unappreciated? I think you may find a real concensus of these types of people out there.
Sad.
