Well, another year has passed. My kids have grown another 3 inches, as has my waistline, and I thought this was the year to do something about it.
Before I thought about my resolutions for the year, I looked back on what I had learned the year before. Here are the Top Three Lessons Learned.
1. Kids are kids. They will act the way they do no matter what type of punishment or verbal scare tactics that you use. The real way to handle kids is to get involved. Put your life on hold and jump into theirs. You only get one chance to do this people, so don't blow it. Put your temper, frustration and overall stupid behavior into the drawer and build a super train track that will keep them occupied.
2. People diagnosed with Bi-Polar and Depression (BPD) can really be moody. Moody people can change the moods of other people. A BPD person can walk into a room of happy partygoers and turn the thing into a funeral. It's scary, and it has to be dealt with. Sometimes you have no intention of doing anything, but your actions, jestures and overall personality can attack without your knowing it. It's scary and I feel for those people that have to try to deal with it.
3. Kids are kids. They will act the way...(Sorry that was number one.) . Sometimes, a conversation with someone that you are biased against or do not value his/her opinion, can be life changing.
With that said, I post my New Years Resolutions for the world.
1. Patience. Live life, go with the flow, and make the glass half full and not half empty.
2. Try my hardest to be aware of my aura and ow it is affecting others.
3. Make my kids and wife my number one priority.
4. Get my body back in tune.
5. Get my mind back in tune.
That's it for now, have a good week everyone.
