For those of you that are disgusted with the Presidents Quote the other night about being able to tap an american's phone line without approval if he thinks you are or are connected to terrorism, I say bravo. If you have nothing to hide, then why bark about it.

Perhaps people aren't upset by the actual tapping as much as the circumventing of US law to do it?
There is no need to do this illegally as there is a special court set up that will issue these warrants on a 24/7 basis.
Even if that isn't fast enough, there is also a 72 hour grace period during which the wire tapping can begin, as long as the warrant is acquired within 72 hours and applied retroactively.
I agree that the wire-tapping is a necessary tool in the fight against terrorism, I just think it needs to be done legally.
No president is above the law.
If he doesn't have anything to hide, why didn't he go through the proper channels.
