Las Vegas in 3 Days

My "Jist" of Las Vegas

There is a certain aura about Las Vegas that either completely attracts you or completely distracts you from it. Don't forget, it is still a city, that has hospitals, grocery stores and car washes. There are businesses, some home grown, others that are everywhere else in America, like insurance and car dealerships.

The one main difference, obviously, is that you can gamble in Nevada, legally. And there is a huge amount of money to be made by having people gamble in your casino. Millions in a day if you have a casino that attracts thousands of people. Which is why the Las Vegas strip is probably the most incredible mile of hotels, lights and attractions you will ever see.

If the hotel can draw you in, then you will most likely gamble in their casino and lose money in their casino. So they build them big, miraculous and over the top, like no where else in the world. I think it's awesome to see. And not being a big fish in the gambling world, just the sight of some of these behemoths is a jaw dropping experience.

So this time we go with a purpose. (And 2 kids). The Monster Jam world finals. Along with a trip to Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon this should be one to remember.

But just for fun, I might take a bucket of nickels to some off the radar joint where, according to Vegas folklore, the odds are a little higher.
